Pomfret Fish - 500 gms
Gram flour / Kadalai Maavu - 2 tblspn
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tblspn
Red chilli paste - 1 tblspn (paste made from 8 red chillies)
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder 1 tsp
Salt - to tast
lemon juice - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - a sprig
Oil - to shallow fry
Clean the fish and make slits on both the sides as shown in the picture.
In a bowl, combine together gram flour, curry leaves, chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, salt, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice.
Add little water and make it into a thick paste. Marinate the fish with the prepared paste for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a wider pan and shallow fry till the fish is completely cooked.

|In a bowl, take gram flour, curry leaves|
|Add chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, turmeric, salt to taste|
|Make chilli paste by grinding 8 to 10 red chillies and add to it|
|Add ginger garlic paste to it|
|1 tsp of Lemon juice is added|
|Make a thick paste by sprinkling little water|
|Apply the paste on the fish and rub well to coat evenly|
|Heat oil to shallow fry and fry on both sides until the fish is cooked well|
