Almond Chicken Kebab Recipe
In this recipe, small chunks of chicken pieces are marinated with a spice mixed almond paste and grilled. This is an easy recipe and great one for a dinner party. This delicious chicken kebab has a hint of spice that is balanced by the almond. Hence, kids can also enjoy this. If you want the chicken more spicy, add more chilli powder to it.

Almond Chicken Kebab

Ingredients:

For 1st Marination:

Chicken - 1/4 kg
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tblspn
Lemon juice - 1 tblspn

For 2nd marination:

Chilli powder - 1 tsp to 3 tsp(adjust to taste)
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Curd - 1/4 cup
Fresh cream - 1/4 cup
Almond / Badam - 15
Corn flour - 2 tblspn
Oil - 2 tblspn
Salt - to taste
Butter - 2 tsp (to baste chicken)

Method:

Wash the chicken and pat dry with a paper towel. Make small slits on both the sides.

Take the chicken in a large mixing bowl, add chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and lemon juice. Rub well and marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, soak the almond and grind it to a smooth paste.

Take the ground almond in a mixing bowl, add the ingredients given for 2nd Marination (chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, corn flour, curd, fresh cream, oil and salt). Mix it well and pour it to the marinated chicken. Rub this paste all over the chicken and marinate it for 2 to 3 hrs.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grill the chicken for 20 to 30 minutes in the upper rack. Turn the sides in between and baste the chicken with butter.

Serve with green chutney.

Note:

  • Almond and curd balances the spices so adjust chilli powder according to spiciness required.
  • Temperature of oven to oven varies so baking time differs.

Peel the skin of almond

Grind it to a paste. If you feel difficult to grind, add the curd mixture and grind it to a smooth paste

Add this paste to the spice mixture prepared

Add in oil and salt. Mix it well.

Pour it to the marinated chicken.

Add in cubed onion, capsicum and deseeded tomato. This is optional
