

Kadalai Paruppu Sundal Recipe

Ingredients:
Split Bengal gram dal - 1/2 cup
Turmeric - 1/8 tsp
Coconut - 4 tblspn
Dry red chilli - 3
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
Method:
Clean the channa dal and pressure cook adding turmeric, salt and water for 4 to 5 whistles. When pressure subsides, drain excess water.
Heat oil in a pan, season with mustard seeds, broken red chillies and curry leaves.
Add in grated coconut and saute for a minute.
Then add the cooked channa and mix well. Stir fry for a minute and put off the flame.
Serve!
