


Pepper Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
Chicken - 1/2 kg
Onion - 2
Tomato - 1
Green chilli - 3
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tblspn
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1.5 tblspn
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1.5 tblspn
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp(powdered)
Salt - to taste
Curry leaves - handful
Coriander leaves - to garnish
Oil - 2 tblpn
Method:
Grind pepper powder, fennel powder and keep aside. Finely chop onion, tomato and slit the green chilli.
Heat oil in a pan, crackle some mustard seeds. Then add in finely chopped onion, slitted green chillies and curry leaves.
Once onion becomes soft and translucent, add in chopped tomato. Saute for few seconds and add in ginger garlic paste.
Once raw smell of ginger garlic paste is gone, add in washed chicken pieces. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
Then add in chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric and salt to taste. Saute for a minute. Add in 1 cup of water and cover and cook till the water is reduced.
Once the water is reduced, add the ground pepper and fennel powder. Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes and switch of the flame. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice.

Saute for a minute or till the raw smell of the spice powder is gone |

Add 1 cup of water |

Cover and cook with a lid |

Once chicken is cooked and the water is reduced |
