Sweet Rava Paniyaram
I really wanted to share my experience here. Initailly I planned to make this paniyaram with rava alone and the reason why I added maida is really an important thing. When we soak the rava in water, the water will be absorbed and the rava will become soft. This is a known fact. But in my case it didn't absorb. When I tasted it, I was shocked to know that the rava is adulterated with rice. I bought this rava from one of the popular supermarket in India. So please be careful when you buy food items. Always buy things from a reliable source.

Sweet Rava Paniyaram

Prep Time: 15 mins | Cooking Time: 15 mins | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Rava / Sooji - 1 cup
Maida / All purpose flour - 3 tblspn, optional
Sugar - 3/4 cup, adjust
Egg - 1
Ghee / Oil - as required

Method:

Soak the rava in water for 15 minutes. By the time, it will absorb the water and become soft.

Add sugar to it and mix well until the sugar dissolves. To this, add in maida which is optional. Then, add the egg and beat well.

Heat a appe pan and fill it with little ghee. Pour a spoonful of batter and cook over low to medium flame.

When one side is cooked, flip to the other side. Cook both the sides till golden.

Serve hot!

Note: 
  • You can add mashed banana in addtion.
  • Maida is optional.

heat ghee

Serve hot!
