Kollu Sundal

Ingredients:
Kollu / Horsegram - 1 cup
Grated coconut - 3 tblspn
Red chilli - 4
Asafoetida - a pinch
Asafoetida - a pinch
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tblspn
Method:
Soak the kollu in water overnight. Drain excess water and pressure cook adding 2 cups of water. Strain the cooked water and use it for making kollu rasam.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. Once it crackles, add in asafoetida, broken chilli, curry leaves.
Add in grated coconut and stir fry for a minute. Then add the kollu and stir well for a minute.
Serve.
Keep all your ingredients ready. Soak the horse gram overnight and pressure cook it adding 2 cups of water. Strain the water and use it for making rasam |

Add in broken red chilli and curry leaves. Saute the chilli till changes its color |
Add a pinch of asafoetida |
Saute the grated coconut for a minute |
Add in cooked kollu |
Mix well and put off the flame |
Kollu sundal is ready to serve. |
