Its a quick, easy and spicy curry.
Potato - 3
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Green chilli - 1, slit lengthwise
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Salt - as needed
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - a sprig
Coriander leaves - to garnish
Oil - 2 tblspn
Grind pepper and cumin using mortar and pestle or using a mixer.
Cut potatoes into long pieces. Wash and boil potatoes until soft.
Chop onion and tomatoes into fine pieces.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When it started to splutter, add chopped onion and curry leaves.
When onion becomes translucent, add chopped tomato.
Once tomato becomes mushy, add in chilli powder, coriander powder, ground pepper powder and salt.
Sauté well till the raw aroma goes off. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with rasam, rice.
