Onion Stuffed Paratha / Pyaz Ka Paratha is a very quick paratha. It is made with onion which is incorporated well with spices and then stuffed. This could be a treat for onion lovers. But remember if you are adding too much spices just saute them for a minute. Otherwise you will feel the raw smell while eating. As this paratha can be made in a giffy, it is also a treat for all working women. You can make this for your lunch box too.

Ingredients:
Wheat flour - 2 cup
Oil - 1 tblspn
Salt - to taste
Water - as needed
Ghee / Oil - for making parathas
For filling:
Onion - 3
Green chilli - 1
Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Chat masala - optional
Coriander leaves - 2 tblspn, finely chopped
Salt - to taste
Method:
Finely chop onion and add salt to it. Keep aside for 5 mins. Squeeze the water which onion leaves. You can use this to knead the dough.
Add chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, green chilli, salt and coriander leaves. Mix it well.
Make them into small balls to stuff inside the paratha.
In a bowl, take wheat flour, salt and oil. Add water little by little and knead well to make a soft dough.
Roll the dough into equal sized balls. Now take a ball and press them through the sides to get circular shape with your fingers. The center should be thicker than the sides.
Place a onion mixture inside and gently fold to seal it properly.
Carefully roll the paratha using rolling pin so that the stuffing does not come out.
Heat a tawa, place the paratha and smear some ghee on the top. When it browns turn to the other side. When both the sides are cooked remove from flame.
Serve with curd or pickles.
Note:
- You can adjust spices to your taste
- If you are adding too much spices stir fry the onion mixture for 2 mins. This is to avoid raw smell
