Caramelized Bread Cubes
Ingredients:
Bread - 4 or 5
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Water - 1/4 cup
Milk - 1/4 cup
Butter - 50 gms 2 tblspn
Cardamom powder - a pinch (optional)

Method:
Cut the breads into small cubes. Saute the cubes without oil till it becomes golden color.
Now in a pan, add sugar and water. When the sugar starts to bubble, add butter.
Add in milk once the butter melts. Stir until it browns. Add in bread cubes and stir well to combine.

When it turns little brown, add bread cubes |
Mix it well |
Spread them in a plate to avoid sticking to each other |
Its ready! |
So much smarter than the way my mom taught me. She always did hers in butter in a saute pan. But the butter never coats the bread evenly. And your way is probably a whole lot healthier. :-)
