Thadiyagai Thayir Pachadi

Ingredients:
White Pumpkin / Thadiyangai - 250gms
Curd - 3/4 cup Salt - as needed
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - a sprig
Oil - 1 tsp
To Grind:
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Green chilli - 4
Cumin / jeerakam - 1 tsp
Method:
Cut pumpkin into small cubes and boil them with one cup of water.
Meanwhile, grind coconut, green chilli and cumin together without adding water.
When the pumpkin is cooked and its water reduces, add this ground masala. Sauté till the raw smell goes off.
Switch off the flame. Add the curd and mix it well.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour this tempering over the cooked pumpkin.
Serve.

Take coconut, cumin and green chilli in a mixer. Grind it to a fine powder without adding water |
Cut the white pumpkin into small cubes and cook them adding 1 cup of water |
Once it is cooked and water reduces, add the ground paste |

Cook till the raw smell of masala is gone for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from flame |
To this, add the curd and mix well. It should be taken out while adding curd |
Heat oil in a tadka pan, temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour this seasoning over the pumpkin |
