Prawn Roast

Marinating Time: 30 mins | Cooking Time: 15 mins | Serves: 3
Ingredients:
Prawn - 1/4 kg
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp (or to taste)
Curry leaves - a sprig
Oil - to deep fry plus 2 tblspn
For marinating:
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Corn flour - 4 tblspn
Method:
Wash and clean the prawn. Add in all the ingredients listed to marinade. Mix it well and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Deep fry the prawn over low to medium flame till golden brown. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add green chillies, sliced onions and curry leaves. Sauté till it becomes soft.
Add
ginger garlic paste and stir till the raw smell is gone. Then add in
coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala. Stir for 1 to 2 mins.
Now add the fried prawn and toss well. Cook for 3 minutes and turn of the flame.
Serve.
Note:
- Prawns cook in very less time. So do not overcooked and make it rubbery.
- If you don't prefer garam masala, you can skip them.
Clean the prawn and add chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, corn flour amd little salt to taste |
To this, add lemon juice |
Mix well and marinade it for 30 minutes |
Deep fry the prawn over medium flame till golden brown. Keep aside |
Now, the prawn is ready. Here is the ingredients for roasting the prawn |
Heat little oil in a kadai, add slitted green chillies |
Add sliced onion and curry leaves. Saute till it becomes translucent |
Add ginger garlic paste to it and stir well to get rid of its raw aroma |
Once raw smell is gone, add coriander powder, chilli powder and garam masala. Stir fry for 2 minutes |
Then, add the fried prawn to the masala |
Stir fry for 1 to 2 minutes and turn off the flame |
Its ready to serve! |
