Mini Vada Recipe
Ingredients:
Channa dal / Kadalai Paruppu - 1/2 cup
Small Onion - 3
Salt - to taste
Oil - to deep fry
To grind:
Ginger - small piece
Garlic - 4
Fennel seeds / Perumjeeraham - 1 tsp
Red Chilli - 2
Method:
Soak Channa dal for 2 hours. Drain the water and grind it to a coarse paste without adding water. Transfer it to a bowl.
Now grind the ginger, garlic, fennel seeds and red chilli. Add this to the ground Channa dal along with chopped onion and salt.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan, drop a small gooseberry sized ball.
When it turns golden brown color, transfer it to a serving plate.
Serve with hot tea.

Grind red chilli, garlic, fennel seeds and ginger into a coarse paste |

Take the dal in a bowl and add chopped onions and salt to taste |
Make small balls and keep aside |
Heat oil to deep fry, carefully drop the balls in it |
When one side is cooked turn to the other side to cook |
When it becomes slightly brown remove from oil |
Its ready! |
