Hello! First of all I would like to thank you for visiting my blog and reading some of my recipes. I hope you enjoy visiting my blog. I'm Kowsalya Dhina, author of Kowsis Foodbook. My cooking journey starts during my college semester holidays. My grandma taught me some of the basic recipes which gives me a confidence to cook. But my love affair with cooking started only after getting appreciation from my family. Even though I knew few recipes, I have not cooked rice before my marriage. So, after marriage, I was feeling difficult to cook the basic things like how to cook rice.
This challenge I faced to cook a simple thing made me to start website with easy step by step pictures. I spoke to my hubby Dhinu about getting started. He was happy about my blog. I'm thankful to have support from my hubby and my 4 year old son Haveesh. He is a lovely kid, who always waits till I finish clicking even at the age of 2.
Initially I started to write blog on some native style recipes and few of the basic cooking. Then, I slowly got interested in exploring new foods from various cultures. Now, I wish to expand my FoodBook to help every beginners, newly married and bachelors. The recipes in my website range from sweet to spicy which will be enjoyed by kids to adults. My short term goal is to compile more recipes on kids lunch box and some one pot meal. My ultimate long term goal is to post everything I can do about cooking.
Your visits and comments will keep me going and inspire me to write more. Enjoy reading and trying my recipes. Please let me know your feedback :)
