About Me

Hello there, and welcome to my food blog! First of all I would like to thank you for visiting my blog and reading some of my recipes. I hope you enjoy visiting my blog.

I'm Kowsalya Dhina, a computer science and engineering graduate with an insatiable passion for cooking. Firstly, I'd like to thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to read some of my recipes. I hope you enjoy your visit. I hold a Master's degree in computer science and engineering, and my culinary journey began during my third semester when my grandmother imparted the fundamental foundations of cooking to me. Eagerly, I delved into the task of expanding my knowledge and honing my skills even further. Inspired by my growing passion, I took a unique step during my college days—I created a recipe application and shared it on a website. The warm reception it received from many encouraged me to explore more recipes and deepen my culinary explorations.

After getting married, I delved into the world of cooking and discovered my love for creating delicious dishes. Despite my familiarity with various recipes, from comforting sambar to mouthwatering chicken curry, I had an embarrassing confession to make—I didn't know how to boil rice. Determined to rectify this gap in my skills, I embarked on extensive research and dedicated myself to exploring diverse cuisines and expanding my repertoire. In this extraordinary adventure, I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support of my amazing husband, Dhina, and our wonderful son, Haveesh. They have been my pillars of strength, constantly encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new recipes. It is their belief in my culinary abilities that led me to establish my blog, where I shared the cherished recipes passed down to me by my grandmother.

However, as life often does, it presented me with a delightful surprise—our daughter, Taneesha. As a new mother, the demands of parenting shifted my focus away from blogging, but I found solace in nurturing her and instilling in her the same love and appreciation for food that was passed down to me. Now that she's grown, she has become my little culinary partner, inspiring me to revive my blog and explore new culinary endeavors together.

Excitingly, my little one has also joined in, adding a new dynamic to my culinary adventures. Both my kids are the  biggest cheerleaders, constantly encouraging me to cook and share my recipes. The joy on my family's faces when they taste my creations, and the encouragement from my kids, fuels my passion for cooking even more. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to my grandmother and my mother, who are exceptional cooks themselves. Their talent and love for cooking have instilled in me a profound appreciation and passion for the culinary arts. To me, my grandmother and mother are the epitome of culinary greatness. Their exceptional skills and profound love for cooking have been my guiding stars, illuminating my path and fueling my desire to create delicious dishes.

Beyond the kitchen, I find solace and inspiration in music. Over time, I have taught myself to play both the guitar and the piano, allowing me to express my creativity through beautiful melodies. Additionally, I am an avid reader and book collector, constantly seeking new knowledge and immersing myself in captivating stories.

As a tech enthusiast, I am always eager to explore new horizons and embrace innovative ideas. I firmly believe that learning is a lifelong journey, one that continues until our very last breath.

Join me on this exciting culinary expedition as we celebrate the joy of cooking, experiment with flavors, and embark on a quest to satiate our taste buds. Your visits and comments will keep me going and inspire me to write more. Enjoy reading and trying my recipes. Please let me know your feedback :)
