Eggless Donut Recipe
Ingredients:
All purpose flour - 2 cup
Milk - 3/4 cup
Butter - 3 tblspn
Active dry yeast - 2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp (to taste)
Oil - for deep frying
For Glazing:
Dark chocolate - quarter
Sprinkles - as required
Powdered sugar - 1/4 cup
Method:
Take
warm milk and add active dry yeast. Stir well to dissolve it and keep
aside for 5 mins until it gets foamy. If you are using instant active
dry yeast skip it and directly add yeast to flour.
In a large bowl, combine together all purpose flour, butter, sugar and salt. Mix it well.
Add the warm milk to it and knead the dough for 5 mins.
Roll the dough to half inch thickness and cut with the donut
mould. If you do not have mould, use a medium sized bowl for the outer
layer and to make a hole in the middle use a small bottle cap. Gently
press with the mould and take the donut and keep it in a greased pan.
Cover the pan with the help of a cling wrap or aluminium foil and keep aside for 2 hrs.
After 2 hours you can see your donuts rised a bit.
Now heat oil, place the donuts one by one. Once it becomes golden brown remove from heat.
Microwave dark chocolate for 2 minutes stir well for every 30 seconds.
Now dip the one half of the donuts in the chocolate glaze. If you wish, add some sprinkles on the top. You can also dip in the powdered sugar.
Notes:
- Glazing part is of your choice. You can add either dark chocolate or white chocolate. You can add powdered sugar or any other creams.
