Banana Chips

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cooking Time: 20 mins | Serves: 3
Ingredients:
Banana - 5
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Water - 1/44 cup
Oil - to deep fry
Method:
Peel the skin of banana. Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric in water and soak the banana in turmeric water for 10 mins.
After 10 mins, pat dry the banana and slice it.
Heat oil to deep fry. In the mean time prepare a turmeric and salt mixture by adding little water.
When the oil becomes hot, drop the sliced banana pieces in it. Do not crowd the oil with the banana pieces. Cook till the banana becomes nice crispy.
When you tap on the banana chips, you should be able to hear a sound. At this stage add little turmeric salt water.
When the water sound is reduced and completely gone, remove from flame.
Drain excess oil. Cool and store it in a air tight container.
Add 1/2 tsp turmeric in water and soak the peeled banana in it for 10 mins |
After 10 mins, remove and pat dry it with a towel |
Slice the bananas |
Dissolve turmeric and salt in 1/4 cup water |
Drop the sliced banana pieces in the hot oil |
Let it fry for few mins till it becomes nice and crisp |
On tapping the chips, you will hear a sound. At this stage, add in 1 tblspn of turmeric salt mixture |
Once the spluttering water sound is completely gone, remove from flame. Drain excess oil |
Store it in a air tight container... |
