Garlic Spaghetti Recipe
Garlic spaghetti is an ultra fast noodles recipe with garlicky chilli taste. There is nothing better than a bowl of hot noodles especially when the cooking time required is just 15 minutes. This yummy spaghetti is not only a quick dish but also taste amazing and requires less hand on time, work and effort. It is a great weeknight recipe. Garlic flavors are well induced in the noodles and chilli flakes are the super seasoning that helps boost the flavor of the dish. But you can also use black pepper powder as an alternative. In addition to that, you can personalize this dish with some chicken or prawn. I used whole Japanese thin whole wheat spaghetti hence the color is little different.

Garlic Spaghetti

Prep Time: 2 mins | Cooking Time: 10 mins

Ingredients:

Spaghetti - 200 gms
Garlic - 1.5 tblspn
Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
Parmesan cheese - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Parsley leaves / Spring onion greens - 2 tsp chopped
Spinach leaves - 3 to garnish
Olive oil - 2 tblspn

Method:

In a large pot bring water to boil. Add little salt. When it begins to boil, add the spaghetti and cook according to the instruction given in the package.

When the pasta gets cooked, drain in a colander and add little cold water to avoid sticking to each other.

In a pan, drizzle little olive oil. Add in finely chopped garlic and saute for 2 minutes on low flame.

When the garlic becomes soft, add in chilli flakes and saute for few seconds.

Then, add in cooked pasta and toss well. Add little salt if required and parmesan cheese. Toss well and garnish with parsley or spring onion greens.

Serve hot.

Note:
  • Adjust seasoning according to your need.
  • You can replace olive oil with butter.

I used thin wheat noodles. It took only 5 minutes to cook. So check your package Cook according to the instruction given in it.

In a pan, drizzle little olive oil. Add in finely chopped garlic and saute for 2 minutes on low flame. Garlic should be soft and not burnt. Cooking on low flame for a long time helps to induce the flavor of garlic into the oil.

Then, add in chilli flakes.

Saute for few seconds.

Then, add in cooked pasta and toss well. Add little salt if required.

Toss well and garnish with parsley or spring onion greens.

Add some parmesan cheese and toss well. Cheese is an optional ingredient.
