Lauki, Surakkai, dhoodhi, ghiya - Bottle gourd has got various names all over India. It's a water based vegetable which has amazing health benefits. It prevents from weight gain and keeps your body healthy. Try this instead of going for some kind of weight loss supplements.
Some people may feel bit hesitant to drink raw bottle gourd juice. So here we have added mint, ginger, cumin and pepper powder to avoid such feel. The mint and ginger will definitely enhance its taste. If you are trying to loss weight, you should try this drink.
Lauki / Bottle Gourd- 1 medium sized
Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 3 tsp(optional)
Salt - to taste
Ice Cubes - few
Finely chop ginger so that it make easier while grinding.
Chop bottle gourd into small cubes.
In a blender add all the ingredients listed except ice cubes. Process them at high speed until you get a smooth juice.
Add the ice cubes and blend for 15 seconds.
Transfer it to a serving glass and garnish with mint leaves.
- You can add tulsi leaves if you don't have mint.
