Apple Oats Porridge | Cinnamon Apple Oats Recipe

Here is a recipe for all oats lovers. Apple cinnamon oats is a porridge made with chopped apple cubes, cinnamon along with milk and honey. You can add shredded apple as well. It can also be made as overnight oats. This simple recipe will keep you full and energized. You can add your favourite toppings such as sliced almonds, walnuts, cashews. This recipe makes 2 serving so you can reduce it into half if making for 1 person.

Prep Time: 3 mins | Cooking Time: 10 mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Oats - 1 cup
Apple - 1
Honey - 3 tblspn
Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Water - 2 cups
Milk - 1/2 cup
Almond - 3 tblspn, sliced(or walnuts)
Butter / Oil - 1 tsp

Method:

Deseed and chop the apples into small chunks. Slice some almond pieces.

In a pan, melt little butter and add in chopped apple pieces. To this add in cinnamon powder, honey, salt. Sauté for 2 minutes.

Add in 2 cups of water and bring it boil. Add in 1 cup of oats and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.

Once desired consistency is reached, switch of the flame and transfer it to bowl.

Add 1/4 cup of milk to each serving bowl and sprinkle some sliced almonds on the top. Add more honey if you want. Serve.

Note:
  • You can replace honey with brown sugar.
  • In addition, you can add little nutmeg powder.
