Murungai keerai Poriyal

Drumstick leaves is rich in nutrients and natural energy boosters. The leaves and buds can be rubbed in head for headache. It's also used to make porridge to treat fever. Moreover, it is good for anemia.

During my pregnancy, my doctor emphasized the importance of incorporating drumstick leaves and pulichakeerai into my diet. These greens are particularly beneficial for pregnant and lactating mothers. Unfortunately, they aren't always readily available in stores. Despite the time-consuming process, I have a genuine fondness for cooking them. If you find the task of removing the leaves daunting, consider having someone nearby to keep you company – it makes the process more enjoyable. My personal preference is enjoying these greens with Paruppu Kuzhambu or Sambar. The pairing with Paruppu Kuzhambu is especially delightful. Without further ado, here's my cherished recipe for you to relish.

Note:
  • You can add chopped onion at the beginning but grinding onions along with coconut will enhance its taste.
