Beetroot Thoran
This recipe is an easy and tasty and is quiet similar to carrot thoran. You can check out my carrot thoran recipe by clicking here. It's packed with lots of nutrients and a great source of fibre.

A good news about this is, it contains no fat and has only very less calories. Try this recipe and let me know.

Beetroot Thoran

Ingredients:

Beetroot - 1
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 2
Coconut (grated) - 1/4 cup
Cumin -  1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Curry leaves - 2 sprig
Coconut oil - 3tblspn
Salt - to taste

Method:

Peel and grate the beetroot. Keep aside.

Finely slice onion and green chilli. Grind together coconut and cumin coarsely without water.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When it splutters add onion, green chilli and curry leaves. Sauté for a couple of mins.

Now add grated beetroot and saute for a min. Stir occasionally.

When it is cooked add salt and ground coconut,cumin. Stir well for 2mins and remove from flame.
